In conjunction with the waste hauling and janitorial contractors, Central Park subscribes to a single-stream recycling service.
All the material collected is taken to a material recovery facility, where all the recyclables are diverted from the waste stream. By collecting commingled / mixed material in one bin, the waste haulers are able to utilize space more efficiently, streamline the collection process, and achieve a more successful diversion by having trained team members that sort, separate, and divert material from the landfills.
